Christine Geren

Ms. Geren began her training with The Northeast Ballet Company in Schenectady, NY, training under the direction of Darlene Myers. Supported by dance and academic scholarships, she earned a BA in Dance from Mercyhurst University while also performing lead roles with The Lake Erie Ballet in The Nutcracker, Giselle, Coppelia, Alice in Wonderland,  and Balanchine's Serenade, among others. Ms. Geren is currently a seasonal member of the Northeast Ballet Company and  principal dancer with the Albany Berkshire Ballet.  She has also been a guest dancer with the Ajkun Ballet Theatre and Mercyhurst University Dance Program Alumni.  Her repertoire includes principal roles in Mary Gianonne Talmi’s Nocturnes, Emily in Philip Jerry’s Our Town, Madeline Cantarella Culpo’s The Marriage License from The Rockwell Suites, Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty and the Sugar Plum Fairy and Snow Queen in The Nutcracker, and Paula Weber's Carmina Burana with the Albany Berkshire Ballet.  Christine has also performed Chiara Ajkun's Le Corsaire and Giselle on Broadway in NYC. As a member of the Northeast Ballet, Ms. Geren has performed in Darlene Myers’ signature piece “Night and Day”, the classical “Dying Swan” solo, and in year-end concerts and as the Sugar Plum Fairy at the annual Nutcracker Tea.  Ms. Geren is currently on staff at Myers Ballet School and Northeast Ballet, School of the Albany Berkshire Ballet and at Union College, for ballet, pointe and Pilates; she is certified under POWER PILATES for Pilates Mat classes.
